The bloodiest of moons.

IMG_9798.jpeg

As most people did last week, I managed to get outside and catch the Blood Moon. I came prepared. I had two telescope setups and my Canon T3i DSLR. I managed to rummage through my bin of unused telescope parts and came across an old T-Adapter for the Canon that allowed me to attach it directly to the back of my C5 scope.

This image is the moon at prime focus with the C5 and T3i. It barely fit in the view. Since the moon was so dark, I had to expose up to 4 seconds, so the image isn’t quite as sharp as it could be, but is still very representative of the night. Below is a grid of all the images I took during the night.
